RTP Mobile Numbers — Ready To Port, Network Freedom

RTP stands for Ready To Port. An RTP mobile number is a premium number that is already available and cleared for transfer, so you choose the number first and then activate it on a supported network of your choice instead of being locked to whichever operator happens to hold it. Activation is subject to operator approval and applicable TRAI/DoT porting rules.

Number My Choice has moved its inventory to the RTP model because buyers kept running into the same problem: they found the number they wanted, but it sat on a network they did not want to use. With RTP, the number leads and the network follows — you shortlist by pattern, price and numerology, then pick a supported activation network at checkout.

Naveen & Company — operating Number My Choice — is a TRAI-compliant, GST-registered (07HBKPK2722M1ZA) seller of premium mobile numbers in India with COD across Delhi NCR and pan-India hand delivery.

How the process works: reserve the number online, complete KYC with a valid government ID, choose your activation network from the ones listed on that number, and our activation desk raises the porting request. Most activations complete in 3–7 working days after KYC verification. You get a GST invoice from Naveen & Company and a named point of contact until the number is live in your name.

Eligibility is straightforward — you need a valid ID for KYC and an address in India. What we cannot control is operator approval: porting is governed by TRAI and DoT rules and the receiving operator has the final say in your circle. If activation cannot be completed, your payment is handled under our published Refund Policy.

Frequently asked questions

What is an RTP mobile number?

RTP stands for Ready To Port. An RTP mobile number is a premium number that is already available and cleared for transfer, so you choose the number first and then activate it on a supported network of your choice instead of being locked to whichever operator happens to hold it. Activation is subject to operator approval and applicable TRAI/DoT porting rules.

What does Ready To Port mean in practice?

It means the number is free of an active lock-in with its current holder and can be moved to your name on a supported network. You reserve the number, complete KYC, and we run the porting and activation with the operator. Timelines are typically 3–7 working days once KYC is verified.

Can I choose which network my RTP number runs on?

Yes — that is the point of network freedom. Each RTP listing shows the networks it can be activated on. You select your preferred network at checkout, and we raise the porting request for that network. Final activation still depends on operator approval in your circle.

Is porting guaranteed?

No seller can guarantee porting, because the final approval sits with the telecom operator and is governed by TRAI/DoT rules. What we guarantee is that the number is genuinely available, that your KYC is submitted correctly, and that your payment is refundable under our published Refund Policy if activation cannot be completed.

What do I need to buy an RTP number?

A valid government ID for KYC (Aadhaar, or Aadhaar plus PAN for postpaid), a delivery address, and the porting details of the connection you want the number activated against. Everything else is handled by our activation desk.

Do you still sell Airtel, Jio or BSNL specific numbers?

We no longer list operator-locked Airtel, Jio or BSNL inventory. Numbers that would previously have been sold that way are now offered as RTP so the buyer, not the operator, decides the network. Vi inventory is still listed separately where it is directly available.
